Mulling spices are an easy way to add seasonal flavor to apple cider, mulled wine, and fills your home with amazing holiday aromas.
Ingredients- cinnamon, cloves, star anise, ginger, orange zest, cranberries, apple
Directions- Use one generous tablespoon for a half gallon of apple juice or cider, or a standard size bottle of red wine. For wine: warm on the stove, simmer on low while covered for 15-30 minutes, or to taste. For cider: put in a slow cookder for 8-10 hours on low or 4-6 hours on high and enjoy the wondeful aroma! Strain the spices and serve. Add fresh apple or orange slices to the pot for a sweeter flavor.
